Mary Mitchell

Hello! My name is Mary Mitchell. I am a teacher with the Junior High Department. I have several years of teaching experience with a wide variety of grade levels and with students of different abilities. I started my teaching career in South Dakota as an itinerant teacher for gifted students grades K-8. I also taught first grade there. My next adventure took me to Palmdale, California where I taught fifth grade. Next I moved to Missouri where I taught sixth grade for several years before joining the wonderful staff at Incarnate Word. One of my major goals is for every student to enjoy learning. I also want the students to realize that each person has their own unique talents and abilities. Everyone is good at something. My husband and I have one grown daughter and a border collie named Biscuit. My hobbies include traveling, reading, and gardening.
