Katie Lorenz

Hello! My name is Katie Lorenz and I'm the school counselor at Incarnate Word. I earned a degree in Elementary Education from Miami University of Ohio and a Masters in Counseling from the University of Missouri St. Louis. I took classes at Covenant Seminary and Saint Louis University to broaden my scope of practice. I taught school for 17 years ranging from the ages of Kindergarten through high school and also spent 11 of those years working with children who have special needs and behavior disorders. My certifications are in Early Childhood, General Education, Guidance Counseling, and Special Education. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor and have over 13 years working in this capacity. During the day I work in the schools and then do private practice in the evenings. My goals are to help individuals discover their true identities and God-given gifts, potential, and purposes in life. I recognize that it is by God's strength and power that real healing takes place. My beliefs are that every person is created uniquely by God and has incredible significance. I am so thankful to be at a school that has such a loving community focused on faith and helping others.
